This show was self-indulgent drivel. The last I saw was in 2026 or 2026 and it was the best show I've ever been to. The other 3 shows were great to lesser degrees as well. It was a spectacle like nothing I'd seen before. I knew we were in for problems when he opened the show with a guitarless version of Comfortably Numb which seemed to be the first middle-finger he sent up for Dave Gilmour. Then for some reason he went over the top in praising Syd Barrett and showed old photos that didn't include DG even though he was playing music that DG had written. Then he played solo tracks for 30 minutes and I almost fell asleep. This show was so bad I walked out. The music and visuals were all you needed. Roger is my musical hero and this show broke my heart. This was my 5 time seeing Cavetown. He never did anything like that at his other shows before. The other major difference from previous shows was his presence onstage constantly and his face on the giant screens the whole time. In the past you almost never saw him.
